Jacobs can boast of being part of history. Fashions, technologies, generations, and people’s habits have changed, but the quality of Jacobs coffee has remained timeless. This is the idea we wanted to convey in the influencer content by asking the content creators to travel back in time to a chosen decade over the last 125 years.
Influencers traveled back in time to Smetona’s Lithuania, Hollywood in the 60s, swapped places with flower children in the 70s, and reminisced about their parents’ youth in the 80s. The iconic Jacobs coffee cup is a key element of time travel, accompanying different generations through the decades.
To make sure that Jacobs’ experience and coffee craftsmanship is not forgotten in the hustle and bustle of the celebrations, we have adapted the message of the anniversary campaign to Lithuanian podcasts—”Klajumo Kanalas” and “Babelis,” created by Mantas Bartuševičius and Marijonas Mikutavičius.
During the celebratory campaign, influencers produced a wealth of creative content. In Lithuania, content creators conveyed the time travel leitmotif in the format of Instagram Reels. At the same time, influencers in Latvia and Estonia used Instagram posts to transport themselves to the next decade using a carousel. The audience also appreciated the campaign’s execution—Jacobs’ birthday message received more than 15,000 engagements, and the podcasts for the Lithuanian market generated more than 100,000 unique views.
